Mr. Alberto Arias is the founder and President of Arias Resource Capital Management LP. Mr. Arias has over 15 years of experience in the field of international mining finance, and is widely recognized as an industry expert, having been ranked for five consecutive years as the #1 equity research analyst for the metals and mining industry in Latin America by leading polls such as Institutional Investor. Prior to founding Arias Resource Capital, Mr. Arias worked for eight years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently acting as Managing Director and Head of Equity Research for metals and mining in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Arias worked for 4 years at UBS as Executive Director and Analyst covering the Latin American metals and mining sector. Mr. Arias has engineering degrees in mining and metallurgy and an MBA (B.Sc. from the Colorado School of Mines and three Masters degrees from Columbia University), mining industry operational experience, and holds a patent for a gold mineral processing technology. He was raised in a family with a three-generation tradition of founding and managing private mining companies in Peru.
Mr. Crevier holds degrees in Civil Law and Common Law from McGill University and has been a partner in the law firm Colby, Monet, Demers, Delage & Crevier since 1984. His career in commercial law, with an emphasis on transactions related to the natural resources sector, spans more than three decades. Mr. Crevier has acted as a director of numerous public companies during his career and presently Chairman of the Board of Yorbeau Resources and he is also a Director of Cancor Mines Inc., Diagnos Inc.. and of several private corporations involved in finance and investment.
Mr. Cater has actively practised geoscience for the past 28 years. He has worked at numerous operating mines and advanced stage mineral exploration properties throughout Canada, US and Africa. Upon graduation, Doug commenced work at the Macassa Mine located in Kirkland Lake Ontario where he worked his way from Mine Geologist to Sr. Mine Geologist. Mr. Carter has held the role of Chief Mine Geologist and Exploration Manager positions for Sr. tier mining companies. Currently Doug is employed as the Exploration Manager for Dundee Precious Metals Inc., a Toronto based mining and exploration company. Mr. Cater is a member of the APGO, and has been on the Board of Directors for a District Hospital and a Heritage building.
Mr. Gonzalez is presently Chief Financial Officer for a privately held bio-fuels company. From March 2005 to June 2007 he was a Director and Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Southern Copper Corporation. Mr. Gonzalez has also held top-level positions with Grupo Mexico and was from January 2004 to March 2005 the President and Chief Financial Officer of the Mining Division of Grupo Mexico S. A. B. de C. V. (“AMC”), and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to March 2003. He had also headed Grupo Mexico S. A. B. de C.V. Treasury and Investor Relations departments from 1999 to 2001. Prior to his time with Grupo Mexico, Mr. Gonzalez was a Senior Associate of McKinsey and Company, Inc. for clients in various countries and industry sectors. Mr. Gonzalez holds two degrees from the University of Arizona, in Economics and Political Science, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago. He has also completed extensive graduate studies and research in Political Philosophy and European and Union Economics at Oxford University in England.
Mr. Tellechea received a BSc in accounting in 1968 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1983, both from the Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico). Until recently, Mr. Daniel Tellechea was an independent financial and management consultant. From 2003 to 2005, he was President and CEO of Asarco LLC. Previous to that, from 1994 to 2003, Mr. Tellechea served as the managing director of finance and administration of Grupo Mexico, Asarco's parent corporation. For the period between 1999 and 2003, he also served as Asarco's chief financial officer and as vice-president of finance for Southern Peru Copper Corporation, which was majority owned by Grupo Mexico.
