Mr. Auclair, is a professional geologist. He graduated in 1987 with a M.Sc. in Geology and Geochemistry from Université de Montréal (Montréal) after completing a thesis on the geochemistry of Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide Deposits. Between 1989 and 1992, he was a member of the exploration team of Aur Resources who discovered the Louvicourt Massive Suplhide Deposit (15.7 Mt @ 3.5% Cu, 2,2% Zn, 31 g/t Ag and 0,9 g/t Au). From 1993 to 2006, Mr. Auclair was involved in exploration worldwide, especially in Africa, were he was successively Exploration Manager for Ashanti Goldfields in Senegal and General Manager of Rio Narcea’s Tasiast Gold Mines in Mauritania.
Mr. Auclair will be responsible for overseeing the internal feasibility study of the Bolivar project and for the evaluation of new business opportunities. He will also assist the President and CEO with investor relations.
Mr. Eugene Schmidt has been appointed Vice-President of Exploration where he will lead Dia Bras' exploration program at the Bolivar and Cusi projects as well as in new exploration and property acquisitions. With 35 years' experience, Mr. Schmidt (M.Sc. Geology) has held senior exploration and management positions throughout the Americas for Southern Peru Copper Company, Cia Minera El Indio, Freeport Exploration and The Anaconda Company as well as Canadian junior companies including Soho Resources, Bell Copper Company and Goldex Resources. He has consulted for major and junior companies alike including Phelps Dodge, Barrick Gold, Battle Mountain Gold, and Triton Mining Inc.
Mr. Teoli is a chartered accountant with 16 years of experience. He graduated from Quebec University in Montreal in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in business administration. He joined Pricewaterhouse Coopers, where he spent the next 9 years reaching the audit manager level and serving clients in the mining industry. Since 1996, he has been involved with junior mining companies who have exploration activities worldwide, with responsibilities in financial controls and financial reporting. He became CFO of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. in 2001.
Ms. Saint-Pierre is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Accountants and of the Quebec Bar Association. She has served Dia Bras as Corporate Secretary since January 1996. Ms. Saint-Pierre worked for 15 years (1977-1987) for a national accounting firm, the last seven as a partner, and was responsible for the auditing of large private and public companies in various sectors of the economy. She completed her law degree in 1992 and was admitted to the Bar in 1994.
