Mr. Tellechea received a BSc in accounting in 1968 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1983, both from the Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico). Until recently, Mr. Daniel Tellechea was an independent financial and management consultant. From 2003 to 2005, he was President and CEO of Asarco LLC. Previous to that, from 1994 to 2003, Mr. Tellechea served as the managing director of finance and administration of Grupo Mexico, Asarco's parent corporation. For the period between 1999 and 2003, he also served as Asarco's chief financial officer and as vice-president of finance for Southern Peru Copper Corporation, which was majority owned by Grupo Mexico.
Dr. Robyn earned his Ph.D., Geology in 1977 from the University of Oregon with a major in Igneous Petrology/Volcanology. He began his career with Anaconda Minerals Company and by 1982 was appointed Anaconda's regional exploration manager in Norway. He has also held top-level positions with several junior companies, and in recent years has advised investment funds with respect to mineral companies. Dr. Robyn's career has been truly international, having overseen projects in such countries as Australia, Ecuador, Greenland, Norway, Liberia, Equatorial Guinea, Guyana and Suriname as well as several US states. Dr. Robyn joined the Board of Dia Bras in September 2005. He is also President and CEO of Yorbeau Resources Inc.
Mr. Mark Shonnard is a CPA and has more than 25 years of experience in the mining and natural resources industry. Before joining Dia Bras, he was CFO and Corporate Secretary of Virgin Metals Inc., a Canadian junior mining company and prior thereto consulted for Hecla Mining Company in Venezuela, where he served as the acting VP of Finance and Administration in Venezuela. He previously served as the CFO of Western Goldfields Inc, as the Chairman and CFO of a privately held mineral exploration company, and prior thereto as the chief finance and administrative officer of the Peruvian subsidiary of Magma Copper/BHP in Peru.
Ms. Saint-Pierre is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Accountants and of the Quebec Bar Association. She has served Dia Bras as Corporate Secretary since January 1996. Ms. Saint-Pierre worked for 15 years (1972-1987) for a national accounting firm, the last seven as a partner, and was responsible for the auditing of large private and public companies in various sectors of the economy. She completed her law degree in 1992 and was admitted to the Bar in 1994.
