Bolivar Property

[Regional Exploration]

The Corporation's regional exploration efforts are guided by reports commissioned to assess the property's potential. Bolivar is a district-scale property considered prospective for new discoveries, including bulk-tonnage copper-skarn deposits, as confirmed by technical reports and field visits by Professor Lawrence D. Meinert.

Regional exploration is being conducted for similar copper-zinc mineralized trends and disseminated copper-silver-gold open-pitable targets located on the Bolivar project land package. This program initially focused on the compilation and re-examination of the Dia Bras database, an evaluation of Dia Bras’ extensive core library and the application of successful work by Prof. Meinert, using low-cost alteration mapping and geochemical sampling to define a prioritized target list. Lastly, the precise testing of quality, prioritized drill targets from surface will be completed to add to Dia Bras’ current resource base.

Dia Bras’ field crews have recently identified the La Cascada gold anomaly with assays of surface channel samples returning up to 15 g/t gold over 3 metres. La Cascada lies only 2.5 km south of Cieneguita, where the Corporation has its camp, offices and maintenance facilities for its Bolivar mine operations. Detailed geologic mapping and sampling are in progress with the objective of identifying drill sites. The first systematic channel sampling on the prospect is planned to cover an area of 2,000 by 3,000 metres.
